Job Title:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to support a fully qualified electrician on solar PV installation projects across Cork and the Munster region.
This role is ideal for someone with a practical mindset, strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in renewable energy.
About the Role
As the electrician's right-hand person, you will assist with the safe and efficient installation of solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist electricians during the installation of solar PV systems
* Carry and position solar panels, mounting equipment, and tools
* Prepare job sites, including moving materials and setting up safety measures
* Help with running cables, connecting components, and mounting inverters
* Support testing and commissioning activities under supervision
* Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
* Complete basic documentation and assist with site photos as required
* Follow all health and safety procedures on site
Essential Requirements
* Manual Handling and Safe Pass certification
* Comfortable working at height (roof access required)
* Full, clean driving licence (travel required)
* Ability to use hand and power tools safely and competently
* Physically fit with a proactive, hands-on approach to tasks
* Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
