We are hiring Clinical Nurse Manager 2-Medical/Surgical Inpatient Ward into a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to staff, aligning unit activities with departmental and hospital goals.
Ensure delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and efficient patient care through continuous monitoring and evaluation.
Support recruitment, retention, and performance management of staff while promoting fair and positive workplace practices.
Maintain a safe, well-equipped, and organized work environment to support effective patient care.
Participate in and support quality improvement, risk management, and audit processes in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Manage unit budgets, control expenditures, and optimize staffing to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls within the department.
Adhere to professional nursing standards (NMBI framework) and contribute to accreditation, audits, and health promotion initiatives.
Foster effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams, patients, families, and external stakeholders Maintain professional development through training, education, mentorship, research involvement, and adherence to organizational policies and standards Requirements Hold a valid NMBI Registered General Nurse licence in good standing.
Preferably possess a postgraduate qualification in management.
Have a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including at least two years in a progressive management role.
Demonstrate strong English language proficiency (spoken, written, and reading).
Exhibit leadership, teaching ability, critical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Show the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with a proactive and innovative approach.
Communicate clearly and effectively, with an understanding of change management principles.
Demonstrate strong planning, organisational, time management skills, and flexibility with rostering and rotations.
Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge, patient-focused care, and the ability to treat patients, families, and colleagues with empathy, dignity, and respect.
