Job PurposeReporting to the Financial Reporting Manager in Allianz Ireland, the Senior Reinsurance Accountant will be responsible for providing timely and accurate reinsurance financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, supporting the month end processes, regulatory returns, and internal Allianz Group reporting.
Key Responsibilities:Working under different accounting regimes: IFRS, Local IFRS, Solvency II / MVBSMaintaining general ledger and sub-ledgers (SAP based)Responsible for all reinsurance reporting internal and externalSupporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statementsSupporting the year-end external audit by responding to auditors' requests for information and documentation, providing input to and reviewing the Company's Financial Statements; Supporting Solvency II regulatory reporting (input, review, testing of QRTs)Supporting and delivering on internal audit requestsSupporting ongoing compliance with IRCS to ensure integrity of Financial StatementsCollaborating in a global team and managing relationship with different internal and external stakeholders including group project work on streamlining processesSupporting management reporting for local committees and Board Meetings, as required Key Requirements / Skills & Experience Qualifications:ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Experience:Relevant working experience (3-5 years post qualification) in the financial services sector – preference given to Big 4 audit firms and/or (re-)insurancePrevious knowledge of reinsurance accounting Previous knowledge of SAP favouredPrevious knowledge of Solvency II strongly preferredStrong analytical skills and curiosity to expand own field of expertiseExperience of coordinating and delivering accurate output with multiple deadlines Highly motivated and used to working in a self-organized way Allianz plc.
