Position Details
Role: Senior Occupational Therapist
Ref: 25/2025
Type: Permanent Full-Time (37 hours/week)
Location: Children’s Disability Network 3 - South Kerry, covering Killarney, Tralee, Killorglin, and Cahirciveen.
Job Summary
The appointed person will work within an interdisciplinary team, utilizing a family-centered approach to deliver services for children aged 0-18 and their families. Reporting to the Children’s Disability Network Manager, the Senior Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality occupational therapy services, including clinical and educational duties, and contribute to service development.
Candidate Requirements
1. Registration & Qualifications: Be registered or eligible for registration with CORU, with at least three years of post-qualification clinical experience, including a minimum of two years working with children and young adults with disabilities or autism.
2. Annual Registration: Maintain live annual registration with CORU and provide proof annually.
3. Health & Character: Be in good health and of good character.
4. Experience: Proven experience working with children and young adults with disabilities, partnership with families, interdisciplinary teamwork, assessments for complex needs, and specific experience in physical disabilities, assistive technology, or autism diagnostics is desirable.
5. Additional Requirements: Hold a full Irish driving license and have the ability to work effectively in English.
Salary & Reporting
Salary: €63,279 - €74,509 per annum (as of 1/5/25 scale)
Reporting to: Children’s Disability Network Manager; clinical governance by Head of Discipline.
