Job Summary
The Practice Accounting Manager oversees the SME Accounting and Advisory team, responsible for workflow, performance metrics, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Statement Management
o Coordinate the completion of financial statements, management accounts, corporation tax, and VAT submissions.
* Team Development
o Recruit, train, and mentor team members to ensure high-quality delivery and professional growth.
* Client Communication
o Manage client communications to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
* Performance Review
o Review and approve team timesheets and client invoicing, monitoring budgets and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
* Professional Qualifications
o ACA, ACCA, or CPA (essential).
* Experience
o Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
* Tech Skills
o Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS) and auditing practices.
o Strong understanding of Irish tax compliance and experience with tax and audit engagements.
o Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
* Leadership
o Proven leadership ability with experience training and supervising a team.
* Project Management
o Ability to manage multiple priorities, work within budgets, and deliver on KPIs.
