Our client is seeking Staff Grade and Senior Speech and Language Therapists to join their dedicated therapy team.

About the Role As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will: Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for adults presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
Work across acute wards, liaising closely with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to optimise patient outcomes.
Deliver dysphagia assessment and management in line with best practice standards.
Contribute to discharge planning and care pathways to ensure continuity of care.
Document all assessments, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with HSE policies and professional standards.
For the Senior Role Speech and Language Therapist: Provide leadership, clinical supervision, and mentoring to junior staff and students.
Take a lead in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and clinical governance activities.
Contribute to training and education for hospital staff on communication and swallowing management.
Essential Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist: CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Proven experience in adult acute care and dysphagia management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
Senior Role Specific: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with significant time spent in an acute hospital setting.
Demonstrated ability to lead service initiatives and support junior team members.
Desirable Experience Completion of postgraduate dysphagia training.
Experience with instrumental swallowing assessments (e.g., FEES, VFSS).
Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
