It is an incredibly exciting time for Swim Ireland as we continue to embark on a period of significant expansion.
We continue to make preparations for integrating Para Swimming and dedicating more resources to support our Clubs.
Following the launch of the National Swimming Strategy in late ****, which emphasises the deployment of local Swimming Activators to actively promote and develop swimming opportunities, we have also created numerous new roles within Participation.
This includes local swimming activators and other exciting positions within DEIB and Programme Development that will help us achieve our mission.
Additionally, we have expanded our operations with both the Pop-Up Pools and our fixed pool locations in Sean MacDermott Street, Dublin 1 and Askeaton, Limerick, providing even more opportunities for communities to engage in swimming activities.
We are currently recruiting for a HR Manager (part-time) to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering a high quality, best practice HR function that supports the organisations strategic ambitions while fostering an engaged, inclusive and high performing workplace culture for each employee.
Working closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and the HR & Remuneration Committee, the HR Manager will provide advice across all areas of people management, ensuring compliance and consistency and alignment with organisation values and governance standards and requirements.

Role and Reporting Structure
The purpose of the role is to lead in the provision of the full range of HR activities including HR advice, recruitment, policy development, staff engagement and retention, remuneration, learning and development, performance support and HR IT Systems.
This role reports to the Finance Director and forms part of the management team structure.
The HR Team is comprised of HR Manager and HR & Finance Administrator (0.6 FTE).
Key Areas of Responsibility
Lead the implementation and ongoing development of Swim Ireland HR/People strategy and support the Management Team on strategic HR initiatives, including talent and succession planning to align with Swim Ireland strategy
Champion organisational values and behaviours, ensuring they are embedded across recruitment, performance management, learning and development and employee engagement activities.
Recruitment & Workforce
Support and manage end to end recruitment processes within the organisation to include contracting and employee onboarding as well as guidance to managers on role scoping and interviewing
Promote inclusive recruitment practices that reflect Swim Ireland's commitment to diversity and inclusion
Monitor and control the process of employee probation/performance reviews and support managers in delivering meaningful, values-based feedback and development planning.
Employee Relations and Engagement
Professional advice, guidance and support for managers and employees on employee issues as they arise including performance management, absence, grievance, disciplinary and capability processes
Manage and assess employee satisfaction through bi annual employee engagement surveys and hold stakeholder sessions with colleagues
Advise and create relevant employee engagement and wellbeing programmes within the organisation
Governance and Compliance
Maintenance of HR documentation system and general HR administration tasks
Supervision and approval of fortnight payroll for pool facilities
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, equality and health & safety obligations relevant to a National Governing Body for sport
Member of the Internal HR Committee who are committed to fair, consistent and legally compliant decisions making in line with internal policies, employment legislation and best practice
Monitor and review HR Policies including the Employee Handbook and update as required
Review of current HR System offering in *********
Support the external HR & Remuneration Committee on payroll benchmarking and annual remuneration reviews and other ad hoc duties as per the terms of reference
Reporting
Responsible for compiling the annual reporting on gender pay gap reporting and driving forward actions in respect of the EU Pay Transparency Directive in ****
Reporting at Board and HR & Remuneration Committee (external)
Learning and Development
Lead and support the ongoing development and training of employees
Other
Support various ad-hoc HR activities as they occur
Be eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis
Excellent working knowledge of IT and software packages including MSOffice, Word and PowerPoint and relevant HR packages
Excellent command of English language both spoken and written.
Education and Experience
+5 years' experience in a similar role
Relevant HR degree or equivalent
Thorough knowledge of current employment legislation and its application
Relevant HR experience in facilities or leisure industry

Remuneration and Location
The package will include a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
Position Tenure: 3 year fixed-term contract
Position Location: Swim Ireland Head Office, Irish Sport HQ, National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 – hybrid working is available depending on the needs of the business
