We are currently recruiting a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor for a permanent, full-time position on the Dorset Street – St. Mary's Place Renewal Project in County Dublin. This is an opportunity to work on a transformative regeneration project to revitalise the area between Dominick Street Upper and St. Mary's Place. You will be joining Duggan Brothers (Construction) Ltd, a trusted name in Irish construction, with a strong track record in delivering high-profile civic and community infrastructure.
Project Overview:
The Dorset Street – St. Mary's Place Renewal Project, led by Dublin City Council, is a major regeneration initiative transforming the area between Dominick Street Upper and St. Mary's Place. The development will deliver 163 sustainable homes—including: apartments, duplexes, and houses—alongside community facilities such as a childcare centre, café, commercial space, and boxing club.
Blending modern design with respect for local heritage, the project features buildings of three to seven storeys while preserving landmarks like the Dorset Street Fire Station. With a strong focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and community integration, it aims to revitalise the neighbourhood, enhance urban vibrancy, and support Dublin's long-term housing and infrastructure needs.

Role and Responsibilities
As a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor on the Dorset Street project, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of this projects, acting as the link between design, construction, and cost control. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Liaise with and support the Senior QS / Commercial Manager.
* Attend meetings with subcontractors/ clients/ design team members.
* Preparation and monitoring of cashflow.
* Assist in the preparation of final accounts at package and project completion stage.
* Cost monitoring and reporting using construction computer software.
* Assess tender enquiries and review tender project analysis.
* Purchasing and monitoring of subcontractor and specialist supplier packages.
* Management of subcontractor re-measurement, interim and final account payments.
* Processing monthly/ fortnightly subcontractor and supplier payment certificates.
* Compiling variations and the variation log.
* Pre-contract cost control and document preparation.
Minimum Requirements
* A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
* A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* High attention to detail with a proactive and independent working style
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Project and PowerPoint
