We're partnered with a global technology organisation operating large-scale, mission-critical data centre infrastructure across multiple international regions.
They need a Senior Data Centre Network Engineer onsite in Cork, on a permanent basis.
This role sits at the heart of a major infrastructure programme, with direct involvement in regional buildouts including travel to Saudi Arabia - applicants must be able to travel to this region without restriction.
Please note: you must hold an EU passport to be considered for this role.
What you'll be doing
Architect and implement leaf-spine DC networks across a complex, heterogeneous environment
Own L2/L3 operations across BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, MLAG/vPC/CLAG, and STP
Design and validate high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity for multi-node GPU clusters
Apply knowledge of RDMA, RoCE, and high-speed Ethernet (400G/800G) to real-world AI infrastructure
Support application delivery design including GSLB, PKI/SSL, SSL offload, and DNS
Drive automation and network-as-code practices across the environment
Travel onsite to Saudi Arabia for deployments, cutovers, and senior escalation support
What they're looking for
7+ years in large enterprise or data centre networking
Strong hands‑on experience with leaf‑spine design and implementation
Expert-level knowledge of EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, and large-scale L2/L3 operations
Experience with load balancing architectures and their PKI/SSL/DNS implications
Solid TCP/IP troubleshooting at scale
No restrictions on international travel, including Saudi Arabia
Nice to have skills
Kubernetes and container platforms
Linux and server management experience
Background in AI/ML infrastructure networking
