Electronics Engineering Leadership
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electronics Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge electronic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in analog and digital design, as well as excellent collaboration and leadership skills.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development of brand-new products by providing high-quality solutions to complex engineering challenges. This will involve working on exciting projects from feasibility through to implementation, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of products that meet industry standards.
1. Develop and implement circuit-level hardware designs, including architecture and design, component selection, schematic entry, board bring-up, and integration of sophisticated printed circuit board and cable assemblies into systems/instruments.
2. Lead a team of electronic engineers to achieve project goals, driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of product development.
3. Effectively work with multi-functional teams, including software, mechanical design, and system engineering, to align with the project schedule and budget through different phases of the product lifecycle.
4. Have experience with interfacing hardware peripherals like sensors, motor drivers, etc.
5. Have experience with electrical drawing packages like SolidWorks Electrical, Eplan, AutoCAD Electrical, etc.
6. Support project teams in general activities related to ongoing product design & development.
7. Evaluate and implement designs to ensure that all agency requirements (UL, IEC, FDA) are being met throughout the design process.
8. Apply tools like FMEA to resolve and detail the root cause of the product's system or component failure.
9. Generate design specifications, test protocols, complete testing, and associated test reports.
10. Participate in technical design reviews to ensure electrical design integrity and safety are achieved.
11. Develop and implement test procedures to verify design operation and compliance to international standards e.g. IEC 60601, ISO 13458.
12. Experience in EMC testing, including Immunity Testing, Capacitive Voltage Emissions, Current Probe Emissions, ESD Testing, Transient Testing, Radiated Emissions Testing.
13. Cable harness, power management, 3-phase AC systems.
14. Experience in AC/DC and DC/DC convertors.
15. Experience developing firmware using Communication protocols – I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc in an embedded environment.
16. Experience in the Medical Device area would be an advantage.
