Assistant Manager – Dublin City Centre Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting an ambitious Assistant Manager for our client's busy Dublin City Centre store.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to support the Store Manager in leading the team, driving operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Salary: €40k Responsibilities: Assist the Store Manager in leading and developing a team to achieve store objectives and deliver excellent customer service Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally Assist in managing inventory levels, reducing wastage, and ensuring stock availability Support the implementation of merchandising plans, maintaining the store's visual standards, and coordinating promotional activities Assist in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment Help drive store sales, contribute to achieving financial targets, and manage budgets effectively Requirements: Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or Supervisor within supermarket, grocery, or convenience retail Strong leadership and people-management skills with a hands-on approach Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities Commercial awareness with experience working toward KPIs and targets Customer-focused with a strong understanding of retail standards Flexible to work across store trading hours, including weekends
