Digital Strategy Director – 3 Month Contract (Extension Likely)

Our client is a strategic communications consultancy working with marketing leaders in large pharma companies. Think consulting-style advisory crossed with strategic communications and marketing services—focusing on omnichannel transformation and capability building, not just campaigns.
The Role
This is a hands-on position (Group Account Director level) for someone who can think strategically but still build decks, design workshops, and synthesise insights—fast. You'll shape omnichannel strategies, message frameworks, and learning programmes for pharmaceutical clients, working autonomously without layers of support.
Contract:
3 months initially, extension likely assuming strong performance.
What You'll Be Doing
* Building message strategies and translating them into omnichannel plans and customer journey maps
* Designing and delivering learning sessions (5-30 minutes)—content creation, session flows, slide decks, speaker notes
* Running benchmarking and analytics projects with the insights team
* Creating affiliate communications that distil complex content into digestible formats
* Light project coordination—tracking actions, aligning inputs, managing timelines
* Occasional budget tracking (nice to have)
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Strategic thinker with digital/omnichannel expertise across channels and content
* Message strategy capability—can define key messages and map them to touchpoints
* Self-starter who connects dots quickly and produces polished first drafts
* Rapid learner who absorbs information and synthesises clear plans
* Strong storytelling and presentation skills—excellent at PowerPoint
* Capability building mindset with basic understanding of learning psychology
* Working knowledge of CX/UX principles (context/channel/audience adaptation)
Nice to have:
* Experience with benchmarking or analytics projects
* Budget management and reconciliation
* Pharmaceutical/healthcare sector experience
