Job Description

At Brown Bag Films, our motto is simple: "We Love Animation." And we mean it - we put our artists at the heart of everything we do. As one of the most creatively driven animation studios, we are passionate about creating high-quality, engaging content for kids and families everywhere.

We are currently looking for a Storyboard Artist to join our talented team here at our Dublin studio. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, on-schedule storyboards within defined production scope.

This is a Fixed-Term, 6-Month contract based in Dublin.

Please note that our studio operates on a hybrid model, with two days per week required in the studio.

The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborating with the Episodic Director to create the highest quality storyboard drawings with the best use of 3D space and cameras.

Realising Director's episode vision by giving storyboard handout material attention.

Responding efficiently to notes and be able to translate revisions during storyboard rough review.

Adhering to the quality and style of the show and make sure it is consistently achieved in your drawings.

Meeting all deadlines as determined by the Production Team.

Proactively communicating regularly with production team/Episodic Director on progress

Key Requirements

Knowledge:

* Strong understanding of acting and animation posing.

* Production schedule and deadlines.

Experience:

* 3D animation experience (desirable).

* Background in producing storyboards on several previous productions - successfully.

* Track record of working effectively with production and Director teams.

* Demonstrable passion for storytelling.

* Experienced in digital drawing techniques.

Technical Skills:

* Excellent drawing skills.

* Ability to translate Director's creative vision.

* Ability to interpret script and translate it into visual form.

* Strong composition skills.

* Must be able to use digital software such as Storyboard Pro and Photoshop.

* Animation Qualification (desirable).
