OverviewFS Business Consulting - Business Transformation - Senior Manager - Programme Manager - Dublin at EY. Location: Dublin. Availability: Full Time - Permanent. VISA sponsorship: Not available. Business Area: Business Transformation.Your Key Responsibilities (EY PMO Lead)Within FSO Business Consulting and our Business Transformation Delivery practice, you will work as part of a high-performing team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping financial services organisations solve their complex business opportunities and challenges from strategy to execution. As a Programme Manager you will:Be responsible for building valuable relationships with our clients and developing a track record of delivery that is recognised throughout the market.Deliver key strategic programmes for FS Consulting clients, ensuring service quality on one or more engagements at a time, leveraging knowledge and sector experience to deliver Business, IT and Regulatory driven transformations.Manage the overall programme end to end within the scope, quality, time and budget terms of reference and in accordance with EY and client programme management standards.Work with the Programme Director and client programme leadership, business and technical leads, operational risk and internal audit teams.Own the delivery relationship with the client.Provide oversight and direction for the PMO Team, Workstream Leads and Project Managers.Represent the programme at governance sessions and EY internal meetings (Account Level, Competency meetings, etc.).Tailor and present key messages and updates to multiple stakeholders.Maintain an understanding of programme costs, forecasts and actuals and manage the programme master resource list.Ensure PMO processes (including billing and invoicing) are carried out by the relevant PMO team members.Provide regular status reporting and governance updates for the programme (e.g., Steering Committees); track key qualitative and quantitative metrics of delivery.Resolve or escalate programme-level issues and inter-programme dependencies.Leverage EY’s capabilities across Business, Technology, People and Risk Consulting practices and collaborate with a global network to develop innovative solutions.Your Key Responsibilities (EY Consulting Senior Manager Rank)Support EY FSO Business Consulting business development activities, including proposals, thought leadership, and input for client events.Support EY Business Consulting operations ensuring metrics for utilisation, timesheets and related engagement management processes are met.Manage and coach junior resources, supporting their development and performance management processes (LEAD).Navigate ambiguous problems, define client needs, and propose value-adding solutions.Write concise documents suitable for C-suite review with minor partner/Director oversight.Deliver presentations to C-suite clients and respond to live feedback.Support colleagues with presentations and ad-hoc requests.Manage difficult C-suite client stakeholders with confidence and reassurance.Independently lead complex engagements from inception to completion, aligning with the client’s strategic objectives.Manage engagement revenue and billing related to programme or project work.Develop our people through mentoring and building high-performing cross-service line teams.Shape solutions for complex problems by leveraging EY’s cross-service line and EMEIA capabilities.Act as a trusted advisor to executives, providing tailored insights that shape the client’s broader strategic agenda.Ensure service quality best practices and standards are delivered on engagements, aiming for planned margins and adherence to firm standards (ETCs, billing, recovery).Contribute to thought leadership and practical implementation experience in Business Transformation.Guide and mentor delivery teams with hands-on experience in implementing Business Transformations.Create thought leadership content (blogs, interviews, speaking at conferences) to build the team’s reputation.Decision MakingIdentify and make decisions with significant project impact; escalate unresolved decisions within the project governance structure.Stay deadline-driven, highly organized, and able to multi-task.Problem SolvingDemonstrates advanced problem-solving ability including logical reasoning and creative thinking to untangle complex issues.Communicate complex ideas effectively, verbally and in writing.Lead problem solving and issue management for project deliverables.Ensure adherence to EY or client delivery methodologies and address deviations.Influence and contribute to continuous improvement of methodology.CollaborationTeam player who can also work independently.Collaborates across the organisation and with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.Identify and manage cross-functional interdependencies.Level of InfluenceInfluences and negotiates project outcomes with senior stakeholders across multiple functions.Prepare and present analysis, insights, and recommendations to support governance decisions.Comfortable managing client stakeholders in a consultancy environment.TechnicalDemonstrates advanced proficiency in Excel and related tools for analysis, financial modeling, and business case development.Experience with project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Clarity) is preferred.Shows deep knowledge to solve complex problems and is recognized as a leader in the domain.Skills And Attributes For SuccessTo qualify for the role, you must have:12+ years of senior-level experience in consulting and delivering large-scale complex change programmes, especially within Financial Services (Banking, Insurance).Experience in a matrix-managed organisation.Primary degree.Experience in establishing, training and managing teams of staff, contractors, and strategic partners.Strong financial background including business case development and governance.Excellent communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.Deep functional expertise with relevant accreditation in the allocated programme/domain (e.g., Credit, Risk, Finance).Proven track record delivering business value as a senior Programme Manager.Ability to take a big-picture delivery view and work across contracts and engagement approaches.Experience delivering large-scale Business Transformation programmes across internal client teams.Experience aligning business and IT, crossing silos to deliver sustainable, agile, and reusable solutions.Accreditation and practical experience with Project Management approaches (PRINCE II, Agile, PMI/PMP).Programme and Project Management track record with a blue-chip firm or delivery lead role.Comfort working with client executives and senior management.Experience in Banking, FMCG, Technology, Health, etc.Ideally, you will also haveExperience in Digital Transformations, Agile Delivery Methods, Business Design, Regulatory Change.Project Management and/or Agile certification (e.g., PRINCE2, Scrum Master).Experience using project and portfolio management tools (e.g., Clarity).Management Consulting experience is desirable.What We Look ForPassion for reaching potential and excelling in your career.Energy, enthusiasm and courage to solve complex problems and enjoy variety.Commitment to integrity, respect, teaming, and inclusiveness.What Working At EY OffersEY offers a competitive remuneration package with a comprehensive Total Rewards program, flexible working options, and benefits to support health, well-being, savings and discounts.
