New opportunity in Cork for an experienced and motivatedAccounts Assistant to join an established finance team. This role is ideal for someone currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification and looking to further develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role in based 5 days in the office in Cork. Key Responsibilities: Manage and reconcile accounts receivable, including customer payments and related records. Process and allocate incoming payments accurately and in a timely manner. Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist in cash flow monitoring. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes. Investigate and resolve payment or reconciliation discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and related reports. Handle the daily funding process and payments to finance partners or suppliers. Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company procedures. Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting or finance support role. Actively pursuing an accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CPA, ATI) or equivalent experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. A proactive, positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
