About the Company
Consistently busy Main Contractor with a reputation for delivering a variety of commercial and residential projects across the Midlands and North Leinster region.
They require a senior site engineer for a new residential development they are building in the North Dublin area – would suit someone from Newry/ Dundalk/ Drogheda/ Navan etc.
They are keen to chat to engineers with 5+ years' experience in the Irish Construction Industry on building projects – residential projects would be preferred.
This will be a senior role on the project – working alongside the Project Management Teams as well as the design team and architects to ensure successful completion.
The Role
Assisting the Project Manager and Site manager to ensure successful site set up, delivery and handover of the project.
Monitoring setting out and checking works as required for the project and ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
Oversee engineering team and supervise subcontractor works.
Performing checks on the quality of works completed to ensure works are done to a high standard.
Liaise with sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning of daily tasks for the project.
Supervise trades on site and act as a point of contact for subbies, architect and client.
Ensure H&S standards are met and adhered to on site.
Support the Project Manager and Senior Engineer to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
Requirements
A Degree in Construction Management & Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
5+ Experience with a Main Contractor in ROI
Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
