Leinster Appointments is currently for a full time Purchasing Administrator role in Co. Kildare. This is a 12 month Maternity contract. Hybrid after training period €35,000 Main duties: Build expertise in assigned material categories by engaging directly with suppliers to gain insights into material origins, production techniques, and their application within on-site operations. Collaborate with Technical, NPD, and Finance teams to accurately populate all required data fields during new product introductions, ensuring full integration with planning and procurement systems. Take an active role in sourcing and procurement of packaging and raw materials, ensuring compliance with quality, cost-efficiency, innovation, and regulatory standards. Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities. Oversee alignment of supply and demand, monitor inventory replenishment, and track supplier performance metrics. Assist the Purchasing Manager in adhering to annual department and indirect cost budgets. Ensure efficient supplier relationship management, including forecasting, performance reviews, supply chain coordination, and handling purchasing documentation and invoice issues. Monitor supply of materials to ensure compliance with internal business policies and procedures. Track and report internal service level targets across the supply chain function. Proactively identify and manage high-risk or unique materials to minimize obsolescence. Provide timely and accurate procurement-related data to support financial reporting and KPI tracking. Coordinate closely with internal supply chain teams and other cross-functional departments. Address and resolve supplier-related disputes and claims in a timely and professional manner. Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing costs throughout the supply chain. Maintain and update supplier performance dashboards and scorecards. Actively uphold and implement company policies and procedures across all responsibilities. Main requirements: Similar experience in a role within the FMCG sector would be an advantage.
