Your new company A professional accountancy firm based in East Galway, offering a wide range of services including audits, tax returns, VAT and payroll support, business advisory for start-ups and established companies, as well as liquidation and compliance assistance. Your new role Your role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, receipts, and payments, and performing regular bank reconciliations. You will be responsible for preparing VAT returns, assisting with management accounts, and supporting the preparation of year-end financial statements. The role also involves regular communication with clients to gather financial data and resolve any queries, as well as maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection standards. What you'll need to succeed You should have proven experience in a bookkeeping role, or be partly qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA. Proficient in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks, along with strong Excel skills. A solid understanding of accounting principles and VAT regulations is essential. The ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines is crucial, as are strong communication and interpersonal skills. While an AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable, it is not essential. Experience with payroll processing would be an advantage.
