We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer to join our Clients team based in Cork
The Health & Safety Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety standards across civil construction projects. Ensure regulatory compliance, promote a strong safety culture, and assist in continuous improvement on active sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implement and maintain project H&S plans, RAMS, and policies.
2. Perform site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
3. Investigate incidents/near-misses and produce reports.
4. Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
5. Maintain safety documentation and compliance records.
6. Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
7. Support corrective actions and continuous safety improvements.
Requirements
Essential:
8. Irish Level 7 qualification or NEBOSH Certificate.
9. 2–4 years' experience in civil construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
10. Working knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and construction safety standards.
11. Experience with risk assessments, method statements, and site inspections.
12. Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills.
13. Full clean driving licence.
Desirable:
14. Experience with PSDP/PSCS duties.
15. Additional relevant certifications (Safe Pass, Manual Handling, First Aid).
16. Familiarity with ISO 45001/14001.
