Job Description
Our client, a Medtech manufacturing company based in Connaught, now seek an EH&S Leader for the site, to lead a high performing and experienced EHS team. This hire will be the site point of contact for HSA, City Fire Service, OSHA, etc.
Working as part of the site leadership team, the EH&S leader will provide strategic direction on EH&S mission, and help develop a multi-year strategic plan to deliver zero carbon emissions and tactical execution of such.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in delivery ofsite-wide compliance with all EH&S legislation including ISO 45001 and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities of EH&S Leader:
Lead, inspire and motivate direct reports & contractors across all areas of the site.
Ensure Facilities projects are managed in accordance with Construction Regulations.
Establish, sustain & improve metrics for ensuring EH&S system effectiveness.
Direct and manage all aspects of the Occupational Health program and liaise closely with HR and other stakeholder functions.
Lead and coordinate EH&S related emergency situations, including governance of the emergency response system for sterilization
Sustain an effective safety risk management process with emphasis on ensuring proper controls around hazardous materials & electrical systems.
Establish governance management of employee case litigation and settlement.
Requirements for EH&S Leader:
Honours Bachelor Degree in EH&S, Occ.H&S or similar discipline.
Certifications in related fields preferred i.e. CMIOSH, etc.
10+ years' EH&S experience working to all EH&S requirements, of which 4+ years management experience in leading a team of EH&S specialists.
Proven ability to work autonomously & manage production related EH&S work.
Proven working knowledge of HSE management systems, aspects and controls.
Experience in developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
Proven ability to successfully implement and execute programs and drive high performance.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with very strong written and verbal communication skills.
