Excel Recruitment are seeking a reliable and hardworking Commis Chef to join one of our clients on a permanent basis.
Shifts Monday through Friday between the hours of 13.00 and 20.00.
Responsibilities of a Commis Chef
1. Assist in food preparation, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met
2. Serve food and beverages in a professional manner
3. Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and equipment
4. Stock and replenish food stations and service areas
5. Work as part of a team to ensure efficient food service
6. Handle customer queries and provide excellent service
7. Support chefs and kitchen staff as required
Requirements of Commis Chef
8. Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service role (preferred but not essential)
9. Basic food hygiene knowledge (Food Safety certificate required)
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
11. Effective communication and teamwork skills
12. A positive attitude and willingness to learn
13. Full Manual Handling certificate (Training can be provided)
14. Own transport or ability to get to unit
