MEP Coordinator Opportunity

We seek an experienced MEP coordinator to join our team. As a key member of the project delivery process, you will ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

1. Conduct thorough analysis of M&E design information during the tender phase, identifying potential deficiencies and communicating effectively with the bidding team.
2. Manage the distribution and timely release of M&E design data for construction tasks, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
3. Verify that all M&E information for construction aligns with project specifications and has been reviewed by interface designers.
4. Participate in Construction, Design, Management (CDM), and Health & Safety evaluations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
5. Review project drawings and specifications for any inconsistencies, maintaining high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Oversee mechanical, electrical, and associated services, representing these disciplines in site meetings and progress reporting.
7. Chair technical services meetings with subcontractors and design team members, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
8. Liaise with design teams and clients on service installations, ensuring smooth project execution.
9. Schedule subcontractor work to align with the main project program, maintaining optimal efficiency and productivity.
10. Ensure the build progresses according to design and program requirements for service installations, delivering projects on time and within budget.
11. Coordinate the sign-off process for all service installations with the design team, verifying completion and quality.
12. Ensure commissioning of all systems is complete before practical completion, guaranteeing a safe and functional final product.
13. Oversee the completion of operations and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and commissioning reports, providing comprehensive documentation for stakeholders.
14. Conduct snagging and de-snagging, manage compliance with BCAR requirements, and support post-handover liaison, ensuring client satisfaction and building reputation.

Requirements:

* A relevant degree in Building Services or a related field (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
* Experience with a main contractor is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and familiarity with BIM Modeling.
* Strong interpersonal communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
* Ideally, a minimum of 7 years' experience in building services coordination in Ireland or the UK.
