Job Description
AMN Motors Limited is seeking skilled and reliable Motor Mechanics to join their growing automobile business in Ireland based in Ballymacarney. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, mostly cars and light motor vehicles, in accordance with Irish road safety regulations and manufacturer standards. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles.
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Conduct NCT related checks and ensure vehicles meet Irish roadworthiness standards.
* Carry out engine repairs, brake systems work, suspension, steering, transmission, and exhaust repairs.
* Complete pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs) and prepare vehicles for sale or return to customers.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent.
* Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues regarding repair needs, timelines, and costs.
* Follow all health and safety procedures in line with Irish workplace regulations.
* Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with environmental guidelines.
* Move or deliver the motor vehicles to different locations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Auto/Motor Mechanic or Motor Vehicle Technician.
* Relevant qualification (Diploma/Certificate) for Motor/Automobile Mechanic or Technician.
* Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Full, clean driving licence (International licence is acceptable but must pass the Irish Driving Licence within one year of commencement of employment).
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
