Industrial Electrician Panel Building & Automation We are recruiting for a specialist engineering firm in Co. Cavan seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician. This is a diverse role that combines precision workshop-based assembly with high-level site troubleshooting. The position is structured as 75% Workshop-based and 25% On-site, offering the perfect balance for a technician who enjoys both building systems and seeing them in operation. Core Responsibilities Panel Building & Wiring: Lead the assembly, wiring, and testing of complex industrial control panels and MCCs based on technical schematics. Machine Wiring: Execute the full electrical fit-out of bespoke industrial machinery, including the routing of cables, sensors, and safety systems. Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify complex electrical faults on-site and in the workshop, focusing on PLCs, variable speed drives (VSDs), and control circuits. Site Operations: Travel to client sites (approx. 25% of the time) to lead installations, perform commissioning, and provide individual or team-based technical support. Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate wiring diagrams and mark up \"as-built\" schematics to ensure full project traceability. Safety: Ensure all electrical works comply with ETCI/RECI standards and maintain a rigorous approach to site and workshop safety. Candidate Profile Qualification: Fully qualified Electrician (National Craft Certificate or equivalent). Experience: 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment, with a strong background in panel building and machine wiring. Technical Skills: Proficient in reading complex electrical schematics and troubleshooting automation components (PLCs/HMIs). Aptitude: Capable of working independently on individual site assignments or collaboratively within the workshop team. Requirements: Full, clean driving licence and a valid Safe Pass. Compensation Salary Range: €50,000 €55,000+ per annum Location: Co.
