Business Researcher - WPS (Remote, Ireland)

Location: Ireland, fully remote
The Business Insights Team provides succinct, insightful, and rigorous analysis to enhance Walkers Professional Services' competitive position and achieve its strategic growth objectives. The Business Researcher will contribute to this mission by analyzing both external and internal data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
The role offers a varied global remit, supporting the development of all our international offices, within a dynamic environment that provides an excellent opportunity for an independent worker to combine research analysis with commercial requirements.
The Business Researcher will work within the Business Insights Team and contribute to a wide range of projects. With the support of the team, they will build working relationships across the firm.
Core Duties
* Market and Industry Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market and industry research, including competitor, jurisdictional, sectoral, individual, and target analysis.
* Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, and present findings in easily consumable and reliable formats.
* Business Development Support: Support business development initiatives by providing data-driven insights for targeting and preparation. This includes creating contact lists, meeting preparation sheets, and follow-up materials that add value.
* Project Management: Contribute to multiple research projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs that meet business needs.
Education, Skills and Experience
* Graduate / professional qualification or a relevant degree in Business, Information Management or Marketing.
* Exposure to the financial services or legal sectors and/or offshore markets would be considered advantageous.
* Ability to conduct thorough yet timely research and link findings to tangible business outcomes.
* Creative thinker that can develop ideas and present information in an engaging and clear manner.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Experience with data management, manipulation and visualization applications like PowerBI, or analytical tools such as R or Python
* Self-starter with excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills; excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workloads and meet tight deadlines.
* Positive, solution-oriented mindset.
* Intellectually curious, critical thinker.
* Comfortable dealing with and processing large amounts of information.
* Collaborative team player.
* Comfortable working effectively with a remote global team.
