* This is a key leadership role within our Marketing Agency, working within our events team and wider marketing department to produce innovative experiences that create an impact with our clients. From flagship events to client hospitality across sports and entertainment, this is a varied and creative position for an experienced event assistant manager.
Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position:
* Event planning and innovation: The successful candidate will lead end-to-end development of flagship client events - from ideation of creative concepts through to delivery of market-leading, impactful client experiences. We are looking for someone who will help take our events to the next level, monitoring the wider market for industry trends and utilising technology to deliver a best-in-class result.
* People management: This role works with a wide range of stakeholders, from senior internal leaders to vendors and on-the-day event teams. The right candidate will have strong project management experience and lead with clarity and confidence to ensure efficient planning and seamless delivery.
* B2B experience is desirable but not necessary
* Strong experience in event management
Success in the Role: Performance Outcomes in your first 6-12 months:
* You will identify and implement opportunities for innovation across our events – from refreshing annual events to creating new client engagement experiences, you will proactively bring forward ideas on how to make our events memorable and differentiated
* You will have built strong relationships within the marketing agency and the wider business, with a deep knowledge of what matters most to our clients
* You will have overseen seamless delivery of key events in the Deloitte calendar for the remainder of the calendar, with positive feedback from internal and external clients
What type of work will I be doing?
* Event Ideation: You will advise marketing leaders and teams within the business on best-practice for events, offering an informed perspective on the wider market and best formats, engagement options, venues, tech and vendors to utilise in order to differentiate in market, drive client engagement and create stand-out experiences
* End-to-end Management: You will manage flagship events for the firm, from initial discussions with the business through to on-the-day management. You will be responsible for managing vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth deliver and adherence to agreed budgets.
* Hospitality: Our events team also oversees the firm's flagship hospitality programmes, including guest list management, supplier coordination and all communications internally and externally to ensure exceptional client experiences.
* Budgets and governance: You will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining event management processes and governance structures to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all events.
* Reporting: You will lead thorough post-event reporting, including quarterly reports on engagement and trends, demonstrating value to the business and ensuring that learnings are implemented and taken into future events

* You will report into the Head of Marketing Agency, working closely with the events team, marketing teams and wider business
Where is this role based?
