The responsibilities and competencies required for the role of Marketing Manager - Irish Thoroughbred Marketing.

Role Purpose

Irish Thoroughbred Marketing promotes Ireland as the leading source for quality thoroughbreds worldwide. The Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving impactful marketing campaigns to further the objectives of ITM.

Role Responsibilities

* Oversee and manage the key content assets (website, social, video, newsletters, email, etc.) for ITM.
* Track key metrics such as brand awareness, engagement, conversion, and loyalty.
* Manage the Marketing budget and report ROI and analyses results on all marketing campaigns, generating actionable insights.
* Manage social media accounts daily ensuring consistent and compelling content creation and promotion and progress to 100K followers.
* Report on KPIs including followers, click-through, impressions, etc.
* Implement effective advertising strategy to fulfil ITM's remit of securing foreign direct investment
* Manage promotion and media coverage for Irish EBF Barrier Trials and IRE incentive.
* Work all Irish sales providing social media and media coverage, promoting ITM's client services.
* Organise and promote the annual ITM Irish Stallion Trails at over 35 stallion farms across Ireland, utilising all available media and digital channels
* Implement effective email marketing strategy targeting existing clients and seeking to reach new ones
* Represent ITM at industry events, communicating the unique selling proposition of ITM to potential clients
* Assist visiting international clients and industry groups with itineraries and industry contacts
* Maintain excellent relationships with industry and general media partners, supporting the issuing of press releases and information updates as necessary.
* Support the ITM team in the production of marketing materials, distribution of brand materials, information, etc.
* Work closely with the CEO of ITM on all marketing priorities.

Skills and Experience

* A thorough knowledge of Irish horse racing and breeding is essential.
* A relevant marketing qualification with a thorough understanding of digital marketing and practical experience in online & social media marketing.
* A team player with excellent project management, communication and organisational skills along with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Experience organising and hosting events.
* As racing is a seven-day business, flexibility in relation to working hours is required.
* A full clean driving license is essential for this role.
