Ensuring delivery of an effective and efficient patient-centered radiology service.General ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:Drive continuous service and department growth by managing patient referral pathways and establishing safe patient pathways from multiple sources (Private & Public).Oversee and ensure compliance with the Radiation Safety Program, meeting legislative responsibilities and preparing for inspections by regulatory and accreditation bodies.Own the strategic development of Radiology Capital Projects, including future department build-out, design, business case, and ROI analysis related to modalities post-MRI installation.Lead equipment selection, procurement, replacement, and upgrades, overseeing management programs and service level agreements to meet clinical, business, and legislative needs.Monitor clinical and business KPIs and audit programs to ensure best-in-class, safe radiology services, identifying opportunities for improvement.Lead and influence the Consultant Radiology Group, facilitating their involvement in operations and managing their activity.Oversee the new CT Service, including operational support and periodic reviews.Support the planning and implementation of the Electronic Healthcare Record project with the implementation team.Integrate the radiology clerical/admin functions into the department, reviewing processes to streamline patient pathways.Financial/Commercial AcumenLead radiology business planning, capital projects, and modality expansion, identifying revenue growth opportunities.Manage contracts and negotiations related to MRI, CT, tenders, and SLAs, ensuring value for money and compliance with financial procedures.PeopleDevelop strategic workforce plans to meet current and future service needs, fostering a flexible and progressive team.Provide leadership to ensure high service standards and staff development, including training and succession planning.Conduct staff performance reviews and set goals aligned with departmental needs.Qualifications & ExperienceFull-time work (35 hrs)BSc in Radiography or equivalentMinimum 3 years as RSMPostgraduate qualification in Leadership/Management (desirable)CORU registrationExperience with complex inpatient and high-volume outpatient radiology services (desirable)Equal Opportunity Statement And BenefitsUPMC is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
