The successful candidate in conjunction with other members of Infection Prevention and Control team, will lead and co-ordinate the development and delivery of the Infection Prevention and Control service, compatible with modern standards and in line with the antimicrobial resistance and infection control (AMRIC) programme. The person holding this post is required to support the principle that the care of the patient comes first at all times and will approach their work with the flexibility and enthusiasm necessary to make this principle a reality for every patient to the greatest possible degree
The Assistant Director of Nursing – Infection Prevention & Control is:
Professionally accountable to the Director of Nursing.
Clinically accountable to the Consultant Microbiologist/ Microbiology Service with responsibility for Infection Prevention and Control
Post Specific Requirements
Demonstrate depth and breadth of post registration experience in Infection Prevention and Control as relevant to the role.
Please note that On Call and Out of Hours may be required.
