Pay: From €48,000.00 per year
Location: SCSIP Centre, Thurles
Schedule: Flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. No overnights.

Are you a passionate social care professional ready to lead a team and make a tangible difference in young people’s lives? We are seeking an experienced Social Care Team Leader to join our newly established SCSIP centre. This is a unique opportunity to shape a safe, therapeutic, and empowering home for children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Social Care Team Leader, you will:
Lead the development and oversight of individual placement and care plans.
Support and guide your team to deliver high-quality, therapeutic care.
Embed a trauma-informed, child-centred approach in all daily practice.
Promote positive life experiences and meaningful outcomes for young people.
Work closely with the Social Care Manager and Senior Management Team to maintain excellent care standards.
Prepare reports for reviews and case conferences and implement agreed action plans.
Safeguard the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of every young person.
Maintain full compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Provide staff supervision, leadership, and professional guidance.
Escalate incidents or concerns promptly to management.
What We’re Looking For
Recognised qualification in Social Care (or equivalent).
CORU registration (or in the process of registration).
Minimum 12 months’ experience as a Team Leader or Senior Social Care Worker.
Training in child protection, trauma-informed care, and/or therapeutic interventions.
Experience using care planning and risk assessment tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Full clean Irish driving licence.
Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
