The Position
We are seeking an experienced accountant with a strong financial background to join our award-winning Financial Accounting and Outsourcing Services Division. You will support clients in managing their finance functions, ensuring compliance with changing legislation, and delivering high-quality services across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage client projects to meet deadlines through effective planning and scheduling.
2. Handle a diverse portfolio of clients.
3. Prepare management accounts, VAT returns, financial statements, reconciliations, and lead bookkeeping projects.
4. Oversee billing processes and ensure timely invoicing.
5. Ensure high-quality service delivery within set timeframes and budgets.
6. Apply technical expertise in accounting standards, primarily FRS 102.
7. Maintain financial information using software like Xero and Sage 50.
8. Create and update financial statements with accounts production software.
9. Stay updated on accounting and regulatory standards for compliance.
10. Coordinate with external stakeholders, including auditors, for year-end audits.
11. Build strong client relationships and manage service expectations.
12. Contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team environment, mentoring junior staff.
Ideal Candidate
1. Qualified ACA/ACCA.
2. At least 2+ years of experience as a senior accounts assistant or accountant in a professional or industry setting.
3. Ambitious with a focus on client service and team development.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; eager to learn new systems.
5. Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and multitasking skills.
6. Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
7. Team player with self-motivation and initiative.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about new challenges.
10. Quick learner with interest in legislative updates like GAAP, IFRS, VAT, etc.
