With our onsite global design team, we engineer and manufacture products and solutions that support water recycling in a sustainable energy efficient way. Our products have been working hard in the environment for over 50 years. We're proud to support manufacturing in Ireland and our community, and we always strive to make local infrastructure work better. Over 100,000 pumps are manufactured in Wexford annually to control and clean water for a global market. There are currently 260 employees employed in the Sulzer factory in Wexford.As an Electricial Instrumentation apprentice you will need to be physically active and to be able to work with your hands. An awareness of health and safety and good housekeeping is essential as well as attention to detail and an eye for the aesthetic.We are looking for a/an Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship to join our FE_WIBU team in Ireland .Your main tasks and responsibilities:Learning and developing new practical craft-related skills, knowledge and competenceWorking with and learning from experienced CraftspersonsSeeing a job through from start to finishComply with Health and Safety requirementsUnderstanding and using physicsWorking with electricity or electronicsBeing accurate with numbers in counting, measuring and arithmetiCompleting detailed tasks that requires accuracy and careful handlingWorking with technical drawings and diagramsWorking with a variety of specialised hand tools,power tools and equipmentBeing well organised and careful with practical tasksLifting or carrying heavy itemsTaking responsibility for their own learning, including the allocation of study timeBeing physically activeBending and KneelingPassing all your phase exams (theory, practicals skills demonstration)To succeed in this role, you will need:The minimum educational requirment at Sulzer is a successful Leaving Certificate ExaminationPlanning and Organising SkillsCommunicate effectivelySolve problemsWork independently and as part of a teamShow a positive attitudeRecognise the need for good customer relationsDemonstrate good work practices including time keeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awarenesWhat we offer you:Annual Leave - Enjoy 26 days of holidayPension - Benefit from a defined contribution pension schemeLong Service Awards - We acknowledge and celebrate your dedicated years of serviceEmployee Assistance Programme - Prioritise well-being with confidential support and guidanceProfessional Growth and Development Opportunities - Access to continuous learning and development programs, providing employees with valuable opportunities for skill enhancement and career progressionSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
