Assistant Financial Accountant
Onsite – Grange, County Sligo
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Grange, County Sligo. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will provide financial information to assist management in controlling and improving our financial results.
Responsibilities:
* Reconcile revenue to trial balance
* Post and reconcile numerous bank accounts in various currencies
* Manage and reconcile deposits
* Process VAT returns and reconciliations
* Produce timely aged debtors listings and statements
* Actively manage debtors for payments and resolve queries
* Process weekly payroll and prepare monthly returns
* Prepare monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary for review with the Group Finance Manager
* Reconcile balance sheets and prepare month-end journals
* Compare actual results vs budgets and provide commentary
* Assist in preparing annual audits
* Process sales and purchasing invoices
Requirements:
* Certified or part-qualified accountant (with relevant experience)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in industry
* Proactive and able to use initiative, prioritise, organise workflow, and meet deadlines
* Analytical skills to develop and implement solutions
* Positive and flexible attitude with ownership and attention to detail
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office
