Contract Details: Full-time, 10 hour days, working alongside another live-in caregiver on a rotating schedule (4 days on, 3 days off, alternating each week)
Job Description:
Royal Homecare & Healthcare Limited is seeking a compassionate and experienced Live-in Caregiver to join our team in Cork, Ireland. As a live-in caregiver, you will provide essential care and support to a client with mobility issues, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist client with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Provide companionship and emotional support to the client
- Assist with mobility, including using a walker or wheelchair, as needed
- Accompany client to appointments and outings
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the client
- Communicate effectively with the client, their family, and other healthcare professionals
- Keep detailed records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate parties
- Work alongside another live-in caregiver on a rotating schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage for the client
- Drive client to appointments and outings using a company-provided car (must have a valid driver's licence)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional care experience with relevant qualifications
- Compassionate and patient with a strong desire to help others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid driver's licence and be comfortable driving a company-provided car
- Must be physically able to assist with mobility and perform personal care tasks
- Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland
