Due to continued growth and succession planning within the tax department, the firm is now seeking to appoint an experienced Tax Director who can play a key role in the future leadership of the practice.
The Opportunity
As Tax Director, you will take a senior role within the firm’s tax advisory team, managing complex client relationships, leading advisory projects and supporting the continued growth of the tax practice.
This is a highly commercial role suited to someone who enjoys advising clients, developing business, mentoring teams and working closely with Partners on strategic decision-making.
The role offers a genuine pathway to Partner for someone who can demonstrate strong technical ability, commercial awareness, client relationship skills and ambition.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a portfolio of tax advisory clients.
Provide high-level tax advice to business owners, shareholders, companies and private clients.
Advise on corporate tax, restructuring, transactions, succession planning and wider tax advisory matters.
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and generate new advisory work.
Work closely with Partners on business development and strategic growth initiatives.
Lead client meetings and act as a trusted adviser on complex tax matters.
Review and oversee the delivery of high-quality tax advice and client reports.
Support, mentor and develop junior and senior members of the tax team.
Build strong relationships with solicitors, corporate finance advisers, banks and other professional intermediaries.
Contribute to the long-term direction, development and growth of the tax department.
Your Background
Senior tax professional operating at Director, Associate Director or experienced Senior Manager level.
Strong Irish tax advisory experience gained within practice or a professional services firm.
CTA qualification strongly preferred.
ACA, ACCA or legal background would also be beneficial.
Strong technical knowledge across corporate tax and wider advisory matters.
Experience managing client relationships and leading advisory assignments.
Commercially minded with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing a team.
Confident communicator with the ability to advise business owners, shareholders and senior stakeholders.
Ambitious, credible and motivated by a genuine route to Partner.
