Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist in Children's Palliative Care Location: Dublin 18 Hours: Full-time Salary/Grade:€62,078- €78,443(CNSp) Contract Type: Specified Purpose to cover Maternity Leave Job Closing Date: Friday 8th May 2026 Introduction: The role of the CNS is to deliver care in line with the five core concepts set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse Specialist Posts, 4th edition, National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) 2008.
The position involves cross site working within Laura Lynn and CHI, working with children and young people with a life limiting condition from, for example, medical, oncology/haematology, cardiac, surgical services, complex Neurodisability and any other child requiring palliative care support.
The post holder will work with the Medical Team/Childrens Palliative Care Consultant to support the development and delivery of specialist palliative care services (SPC) across all sites where SPC input is required.

Essential Criteria for the Role: Fully registered nurse/midwife/RCN on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by An Bord Altranais (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) Have acquired a post registration level 9 qualification on the National Qualifications Framework of Ireland (major award) or the equivalent, in Palliative Care Have a minimum of 1 years post registration experience and a minimum of 1 years specialist area experience of working with children with life limiting conditions/palliative care needs A full clean Drivers License How to Apply: Applications for this role must be made below.
