About the Role:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Day Care Manager to oversee operations in a dementia-focused Day Care Centre. This is a unique opportunity to lead a committed team and deliver high-quality, person-centred care that enhances the lives of clients and supports their carers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver holistic, dementia-specific care for all centre clients
Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team, including care staff, kitchen team, and volunteers
Develop and implement individualised care plans
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and medication protocols
Maintain administrative records including billing, statistics, and training logs
Promote the service through networking and local awareness efforts
Coordinate staff training and performance reviews
Engage with clients' families and community healthcare professionals
Ensure the physical upkeep of the centre and transport services
Requirements:
Degree (or validated foreign equivalent) in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or a related field
Minimum 5 years' experience in the health/social care or voluntary sector
3+ years in a managerial role
Experience with dementia care and complex client needs
Full clean driving license
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Understanding of Irish healthcare systems and voluntary sector operations
