Job Description
Mechanical Trades Specialists are essential to our operations, showcasing their technical expertise and driving career growth within a dynamic PPP/PFI contract at the Grangegorman campus for TU Dublin. They will operate across the contract, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance of heating boilers, pumps, compressed air systems, sanitary ware, and other equipment in commercial/industrial premises, ensuring high compliance levels and health & safety standards.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in HVAC and CAFM, holding a time-served background in Mechanical Trades, with qualifications such as City & Guilds Level 2 Award in F-Gas Regulation or FETAC Level 5 Specific Purpose Certificate in Handling F-Gas Refrigerants. Knowledge and experience of BMS systems, TREND is desirable.
This role requires a multi-skilled professional who can operate across electrical and building disciplines at a basic level. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience as an Engineer in a similar role, HND, NVQ, QQI, or equivalent in the relevant subject (Mechanical Trade Qualification), IOSH Qualification, CSCS Card, and/or Safe Pass or equivalent. Experience working with a CAFM system and within a Building Maintenance organization is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out and oversee day-to-day operations including planned maintenance, fault finding, and repair, periodic inspections and testing of services found in a building environment.
* Ensure corrective maintenance and reactive works are completed within priority timescales, and work adheres to legislation, codes of practice, manufacturer recommendations, HSE guidelines, and prescribed standards.
