Your key responsibilities
Designing and building scalable data pipelines using Databricks and cloud-native tools
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored solutions
Transforming raw data into clean, structured formats ready for analysis and reporting
Implementing best practices in data governance, quality, and security
Troubleshooting and optimising data workflows for performance and reliability
Supporting clients through their data transformation journeys with a consultative mindset
Skills and attributes for success
A third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to the position
Proven experience working in a client-facing consulting environment, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, navigate complex requirements, and deliver tailored solutions across diverse industries.
5+ years' experience working with Databricks, including Spark and Delta Lake
Strong skills in Python and/or Scala for data engineering tasks
Comfortable working with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
A problem-solving mindset and the ability to simplify complex data challenges
Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
Additional qualifications (ideal)
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code tools
Knowledge of data warehousing and modern data architecture patterns
Professional certification in Databricks
