Responsibilities
Manage and monitor activities of all night‑time employees, ensuring adherence to standards and hotel policies
Direct and oversee all hotel operations during the night shift to guarantee guest satisfaction and safety
Conduct briefings for all staff at shift start
Communicate nightly activities, VIP arrivals, special requests and repeat guests to overnight staff
Verify accommodation readiness, handle special requests, greet guests and escort them to rooms when required
Maintain a professional, service‑oriented environment at all times
Act as manager on duty, addressing complaints, problem‑solving, and managing disturbances or special requests
Coordinate front‑office activities with other departments and manage night‑shift staff performance, scheduling, and training
Ensure the accurate completion of the daily night audit and, if required, perform it fully
Oversee preparation of daily summary reports and the set‑up of conferences and events as per function sheets
Assist the Front Office Manager in implementing financial controls and standard operating procedures, including expense control, scheduling and purchasing
Show initiative, solve problems, train staff, and lead teams
Work closely with the Housekeeping Department to improve guest services and foster cross‑departmental communication
Enforce all fire‑life‑safety procedures and report suspicious activities or hazardous conditions to Security or the Front Office Manager
Remain current with new procedures, training, and updates
