Veterinary Surgeon – Small Animal – Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) at Raheny Veterinary Hospital, North Dublin. Location: Raheny Veterinary Hospital, Dublin. Salary: Up to €60,000 DOE + Excellent Company Benefits. Contract: Full-time | Fixed Term Contract. Start date: End September / Start October 2025. This role is for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, forward-thinking practice and contribute to high-quality veterinary care.
This role is best suited to a confident clinician who thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment. You’ll work alongside a collaborative group of veterinary professionals with access to a comprehensive diagnostic and surgical equipment.
Responsibilities
* Work as a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon in a busy, first-opinion practice
* Provide medical and surgical care with a patient-centred approach
* Collaborate with a team of vets, nurses, and support staff
* Contribute to ongoing delivery of high-quality veterinary care
* Adhere to practice protocols and quality standards
Requirements – What We’re Looking For
* VCI registered Veterinary Surgeon available to start late September or early October 2025
* Experienced in small animal practice; not suitable for new graduates
* Confident in both medical and surgical cases
* Strong team player with a patient-centred approach to care

* Working patterns: 39 hours per week, with 1 in 3 weekends

* Practice size: 9 Vets, 8 Veterinary Nurses, 2 Animal Care Assistants, and 9 support staff
