Job Overview
The primary function of the Sales Advisor is to deliver sales of Personal Lines, Agri, and Commercial Business. The role involves assisting in the overall running of the Sales Office to provide a superior and efficient customer care service that achieves sales targets while enhancing the local FBD Brand.
Job Responsibilities
* Achieve individual sales targets through prospecting, up-selling, and cross-selling of Personal Lines, Commercial, and Agri business.
* Handle customer queries and refer unresolved or technical issues to the relevant personnel.
* Ensure compliance with all systems and procedures as laid down by the company.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's commercial product range and compliance requirements; complete relevant industry qualifications and CPD hours.
* Participate in various office tasks, including going to the Mart, and work flexibly within the Sales Office.
* Provide relief to other Sales Offices in the region as needed.
* Develop mutually beneficial relationships, working closely with the local FBD Life and Pension Financial Advisor to enhance service delivery.
* Participate in account management initiatives for Commercial and Agri business.
* Follow up on renewals, identify sales opportunities, and suggest cover or rate improvements.
* Assist customers at the initial notification of claims, following company procedures.
* Manage individual outstanding debit and premium collections.
Additional Responsibilities
* Support the Sales Executive and Branch Manager as directed.
* Handle administration for Personal Lines, Commercial, and Agri business.
* Perform other duties as required by management.
Education
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent, and/or relevant third-level qualification.
* Qualified to Approved Product Advisor (APA), Approved Product Professional (APP), Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP), or hold Grandfathered Accreditation; assistance will be provided to obtain these qualifications within the timeframe set by the Central Bank of Ireland.
Experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Previous experience in insurance or financial services is advantageous.
* Sales or customer service experience.
* Proactive, energetic, and positive approach.
* Customer-focused with excellent communication and organizational skills.

MCC
This is a controlled function under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity Regime. The role is designated as CF3, CF4.

This role is offered on a permanent contract and within Pay Band A of FBD’s Sales Functions Pay Band.
