Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the EIA process for large-scale renewable energy projects, including the delivery of environmental impact assessment reports and appropriate assessments.
* Provide environmental expertise to support the planning team and inform business unit strategy to ensure compliance with planning and environmental issues.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in planning and environmental legislation, policy decisions, and updates to national, regional, and local authority development plans.
* Contribute to company submissions as required.
* Assist the stakeholder and advocacy team with developing effective project plans for managing communications and consultation with local communities and stakeholders.
* Prepare specifications for third-party services and assist the procurement team in various stages of associated procurement processes.
* Evaluate work carried out under this remit to ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental policies, as well as relevant EU and national policies and statutory requirements.
* Support the upskilling and mentoring of junior staff, focusing on EIA and appropriate assessment processes.
* Participate in performance management to ensure delivery of personal and team objectives.
