The Project Coordinator role with the British Council in Ireland supports arts and education initiatives by coordinating activities, managing partnerships, and ensuring compliance. Accountabilities:
* Manages stakeholder and partner relationships, ensuring timely communication and accountability from vendors.
* Supports the Country Director and Project Manager in partner-related activities, maintaining effective collaboration and service delivery across all levels.
* Manages vendors effectively, works independently, and handles multiple tasks.
* Prioritizes competing deadlines with strong organizational skills, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of responsibilities.
* Coordinates project activities including communication, social media, and reporting. Manages administration, procurement, and event logistics.
* Supports cultural engagement programmes and ensures data quality, analysis, and reporting. Upholds compliance, records management, and promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion through mainstreaming action plans.
* Maintains accurate financial records per audit standards, ensures timely vendor payments via SAP Finance, and adheres to British Council and partner financial policies.
* Supports budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning, while managing smaller budgets and ensuring compliance with internal and external financial requirements.
* Actively supports an inclusive, anti-racist culture by recognizing and addressing personal biases.
* Promotes equity, well-being, and mental health, while engaging in continuous learning on equality, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism in the workplace.
Role specific skills:
* Experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or contracts.
* Administrative and financial administration and reporting experience.
* Good understanding of basic concepts of monitoring and evaluation, and how they are central to good project management.
* Experience of working with external partners and stakeholders.
* Evidence of good marketing and communication ability.
* Excellent verbal and written skills in English (minimum B2 standard)
Role specific knowledge and experience:
* Good knowledge and understanding of Arts and/ or Education.
* Experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or contracts.
* Administrative and financial administration and reporting experience.
* Experience of working with external partners and stakeholders.
* Additional language(s).
* Masters in a related area.
* Experience of working in cultural relations and cultural diplomacy.
