What will you do?
In this role, you will lead and deliver high-impact consultancy services in environmental compliance, sustainability, and circular economy practices across the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. You will support clients in achieving regulatory compliance, embedding circularity, and enhancing environmental performance through strategic planning, technical expertise, and effective project delivery.
Your key responsibilities will include:
 * Preparing and managing EPA license applications, Waste Facility and Collection Permit applications.
 * Compiling and submitting Annual Environmental Reports (AERs) and Waste Data Returns.
 * Conducting Environmental Liability Risk Assessments (ELRAs) and developing Decommissioning Management Plans.
 * Conducting site audits and compliance reviews for permits and licenses.
 * Leading environmental due diligence for acquisitions and legacy waste sites.
 * Drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and reviewing management systems to drive continuous improvement.
 * Managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing site-based projects.
In addition to core responsibilities, you will also:
 * Design and implement Resource and Waste Management Plans (RWMPs), Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), and Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs).
 * Develop and deliver zero waste strategies aligned with ISO standards and client sustainability goals.
 * Embed circularity into both construction and operational phases of projects.
 * Coordinate feasibility studies, waste classification and characterization, and planning compliance reporting.
Please note: This role requires travel to client sites across Ireland. Flexibility and willingness to travel is essential.

We are looking for a collaborative and driven professional who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in environmental sustainability.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
 * A relevant third-level degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Ecology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
 * Approximately 10 years of experience in environmental consultancy, waste industry, and local government.
 * Strong understanding of Irish and EU environmental legislation and policy.
 * Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills.
 * Project Management Experience.
 * Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
 * Valid driving license.
Desirable/ Advantageous Qualifications:
 * A postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc, Diploma) in Environmental Management, Circular Economy, or Health & Safety.
 * Professional certifications or training in ISO systems, environmental auditing, or waste management.
 * Valid Safe Pass or equivalent health and safety training.
 * Membership with the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) or similar Experience & Competencies.
 * Proven expertise in ISO management systems (ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001).
