Position:
We are looking for a QA / Test Engineer to join our team.
The role is to test new functionality, verify bug fixes, write test scripts, report defects and conduct regression testing with the aim of ensuring that exacting quality standards are achieved consistently.

Responsibilities:
* Analysing new functional specifications and planning test scope accordingly.
* Writing and updating automated test scripts for new functionality.
* Manual and automated testing of complex systems.
* Accurate documentation of bugs and supporting Development in resolving these issues.
* Providing regular status updates to the QA leader on progress.
The successful candidate will have:
* 3rd level degree with suitable IT qualification.
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Software Test Engineer.
* Proven experience in functional testing is essential, ideally on web-based systems.
* Ability to learn large, complex systems quickly and grasp new functionality.
* Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
* Familiarity with large data models.
* Experience with the Oracle toolset including SQL and PL/SQL languages.
* Knowledge of Java or other Object Oriented languages and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, TCL and PHP.
* An understanding of testing methodologies and the software development process.
* Ability to prioritise, multi-task and take ownership of test deliverables.
* A keen interest in developing a career in software testing.
* Experience writing automated tests using tools such as Selenium, J-Unit, J-Meter, Soap-UI is a distinct advantage.
* Knowledge of Linux an advantage.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Good problem diagnostic skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
