Who We’re Looking For
3–5 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Consultant, Safety Officer, EHS Adviser, or similar
Level 8 Health & Safety qualification (Irish QQI framework – Diploma or higher)
Strong construction safety background, ideally with civil engineering or utilities experience
Solid understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and HSQÉ best practice
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
IT literate with good Microsoft Office skills
It’s a plus if you have:
Experience in the water, utilities, or wider civil engineering sectors
Background in EHS auditing and safety management systems
Additional workplace or construction safety certifications
What You’ll Do
Support the rollout and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Safety Management System across a regional portfolio
Deliver and support health and safety initiatives, programmes, and improvement projects to reduce risk to people and assets
Coordinate induction, policies, and accident recording, reporting, and investigation in line with legal and internal requirements
Gather, analyse, and trend key HSQÉ performance data and report to regional H&S leadership
Advise on HSQÉ training needs and ensure alignment with national and European standards
Liaise with managers, team leads, and functional heads to understand activities and ensure appropriate HSQÉ support
Monitor KPIs for your area and help foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance
