Position:Utilities Project Coordinator & SDLC Development/Management.
Location: Munster, Ireland.
PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions with offices in Ireland, the United States and Puerto Rico, and serving the Life Science, F&B and Utilities industries, is looking for an experienced Engineer to act as Utilities Project Coordinator & SDLC Development/Management. This is a site-based role on a hybrid basis (3 days per week at site minimum).
Role Description
* Reporting to the Associate Director for Automation, responsible for project coordination and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) elements of multiple utilities projects that integrate and interface with Company’s local utilities Management Platform (CMS).
* Coordinate projects between the internal site projects team and the vendor of the utilities management platform (CMS).
* Collaboratively create and manage all SDLC documentation associated with project implementation including:
* Partner with internal business stakeholders to create User Requirement Specifications.
* Partner with Vendor to translate URS into Functional Design Specifications and Test Protocols.
* Coordinate implementation and execute.
* Ensure full SDLC close out.
* Work closely with other stakeholders across the site to ensure timely implementation of utility projects.
Role Functions
Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Responsible for coordinating resources for the CMS vendor, the site automation team and the site projects team to ensure project timelines are managed appropriately.
* Manage day to day and project implementation tasks for utilities management platform. This involves running daily Tier meetings with project teams, automation team resources and the vendor to prioritize work and execute to agreed deliverables\milestones.
* Understand and adhere to Company Automation\IT standards and partnership with vendors to articulate these standards and design proposals accordingly.
* Partner with local business leadership and project teams to deliver scope for Automation aspects of utilities projects bringing knowledge of Automation technologies and the Manufacturing Systems Architecture.
* Understand and educate local project teams on automation standards as they relate to technology selection, system configuration, SDLC, validation, hardware, software environments and business processes.
* Engage with stakeholders at all levels of projects, including active participation in Project Steering teams.
* Ensure that SDLC is appropriately applied.
* Manage and control change within the project to critical project constraints.
* Develop project schedules and document trackers to manage and control project deliverables.
* Liaise with stakeholders on the overall project to ensure clear communication between all parties.
* Ensure Automation compliance in line with Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day to day activities and all applicable job functions.
Role Requirements
* Degree qualification ideally in a related Engineering, Automation, Computer or other technical discipline.
* 5+ years’ experience with utility management/control systems.
* 3+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry with responsibility for SDLC aspects of project implementation and change control.
* Project Management certification is desirable (e.g. PmP or PRINCE2).
* Experience managing multi-functional teams to meet project goals.
* The following IT experience would be advantageous; Active Directory, Single Sign On, Server/Database/Network Administration, Desktop & Servers Virtualization, Cloud Technologies.
* Excellent computer skills, proficient in the use of the following Microsoft tools: Excel, SharePoint, Word and PowerPoint.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
* Usual place of work will be in Munster, Ireland (3 days per week at site minimum).
