Buyer Planner
As a Buyer Planner, you will collaborate with global teams to plan manufactured products, manage material flow, and drive continuous improvement in production scheduling and inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively plan manufactured products to achieve service targets while minimizing scheduling inefficiencies.
Manage material flow, investment, supply risks, and total cost of ownership, including expedite and premium costs.
Lead new product introductions by coordinating governance meetings, task completion, and stakeholder communication.
Lead continuous process improvement to reduce costs and optimize inventory.
Collaborate with procurement, finance, warehouse, operations, quality, and global supply chain teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher AND at least 5 years of relevant experience in inventory management, supply chain planning, or procurement.
Strong analytical skills with experience in visual reporting to senior leadership.
Experience with ERP, MRP II, MRP, SCP, APS, or DRP systems, particularly Oracle, ASCP, or SAP.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.).
Proven experience implementing changes to business processes and systems of work.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in supply chain management or operations management.
APICS CPIM or relevant planning certification.
10 years of experience in operations, logistics, or demand planning.
Excellent understanding of production planning, inventory management, and material flow across the supply chain.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with internal customers, suppliers, and team members.
Familiarity with healthcare supply chain auditing processes and SOX frameworks.
Location and Travel
Hybrid eligible. Job duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Athlone, Ireland at least 3 days per week. May include up to 10% domestic/international travel.
