Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of substation design projects, ensuring all design, safety, quality, and programme requirements are met.
Act as the Lead Engineer on multiple projects, coordinating technical inputs across multidisciplinary teams.
Provide technical oversight and design review for EPC and Design & Build projects.
Offer expert technical support and mentorship to colleagues across the design team.
Manage and coordinate the technical, commercial, and financial aspects of each project, engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as Project Supervisor Design Stage (PSDP), ensuring compliance with all safety legislation and design standards.
Prepare and review design risk assessments and H&S plans for both design and construction teams.
Maintain a strong focus on project delivery, quality, and safety, even within tight timelines.
What Were Looking For Degree (Level 8) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
7+ years experience in GIS substation design, including both transmission and distribution networks.
Comprehensive knowledge of substation project lifecycles from tendering and scoping through design, costing, construction, and commissioning.
Proven experience delivering or reviewing designs on EPC or Design & Build projects.
Strong project management and contract management capabilities.
Technical expertise in control and protection systems, auxiliary power systems (AC/DC), power transformers, and/or reactors.
Full drivers licence and access to transport.
